ABOUT
This project represents the complete interior design of the new administrative building for a leading construction company in Plovdiv. The task was to create a space that not only reflects the company’s core activity through industrial aesthetics but also provides contemporary conditions for work and relaxation.
The layout is clearly defined: the first floor acts as the “engine” of the company—the operational zone—while the second floor is a hybrid space, combining executive functions with areas for socialization, sports, and recovery.
CONCEPT
The design intentionally leaves structural elements visible—concrete slabs, brick walls, and exposed installations. This visual language corresponds directly to the client’s business.
-
Materials: We used brick and concrete not merely as decor, but as an honest statement of the essence of construction.
-
Identity: A stylized map of Plovdiv within the interior emphasizes local attachment and the company’s footprint in the city.
-
Lighting: A wave-like LED lighting installation flows through the floors as a metaphor for flexibility and dynamics, softening the raw industrial textures.
PROJECT
First Floor: Operational Zone Here, the focus is on functionality and clear structure. The space is strictly zoned:
-
Workstations: Ergonomic zones with desks are defined for the team.
-
Meeting Point: A central spot is occupied by a large conference table, designed specifically for daily morning operational briefings—a ritual critical to the construction process.
-
Storage: Massive walls of cabinets and archives are designed to accommodate the vast volume of technical documentation while simultaneously serving as sound insulation.
-
Kitchen: The kitchen area is visually and functionally separated from the workspace to ensure comfort and isolate odors and noise.
Second Floor: Executive & Wellness The second floor offers a completely different atmosphere—a mix of business and pleasure:
-
Executive & Archive: This area houses the manager’s office, the server room, and an additional secure archive.
-
Social Hub & Bar: The space is dominated by a designer bar built from illuminated concrete blocks (breeze blocks), serving as a spot for informal meetings and corporate events.
-
Relax & Yoga: A unique addition to the office is the relaxation and yoga zone. Designed with acoustic wooden panels and open space, it allows employees to recharge their energy during the workday.
CONSTRUCTION
The execution of the interior adheres to the high quality standards characteristic of the construction industry.
-
Vertical Communication: The staircase is highlighted by vertical steel cables that replace the standard railing, creating a sense of height and structural lightness.
-
Acoustics: Given the high ceilings and hard surfaces, acoustics are managed through the specialized wooden cladding on the second floor and soft furnishings that absorb noise.
